
A Reseda home was ravaged by fire on Tuesday, but thanks to the rapid response of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the blaze was vanquished in under twenty minutes, as per information on the department's website. At approximately 5:13 PM at 19528 W Leadwell St, fire crews arrived to discover a one-story, single-family dwelling with heavy smoke billowing out, immediately switching into offensive mode to battle the inferno, the LAFD alert stated.
The situation was precarious and the smoke was thick, but the firefighters efficiently contained the fire to the room of origin within the involved triplex, according to a subsequent LAFD statement. Their swift action prevented the flames from racing into the attic within 18 minutes and no injuries were reported. Firefighter teams including Engine Companies such as E103 and E104 and Truck Companies like T73 and T87, established control over the fire securing a knockdown by 5:31 PM, the same source reported.
The incident, falling under the jurisdiction of Fire Station 73 and Battalion 17, drew a coordinated response from multiple crews, the LAFD dispatch included Battalion Chiefs, Rescue Ambulances, and a total of 30 firefighters all contributing to the containment efforts. Commanding the scene was Council District 3, under the watch of the Valley Bureau as the teams operated amidst the Channel 9 broadcast area.
