
Early Monday morning, a late-night shooting incident on the West Side of San Antonio sent a man in his 20s to the hospital, according to authorities. Around 1:00 a.m., the victim found himself under fire after being flagged down by two men while driving near the intersection of Mehchanca Street and North Zarzamora Street. Fox San Antonio reports that the suspects opened fire on the man, striking his leg, as he approached them.
Despite the gunshot wound, the wounded man made it to a 7-Eleven convenience store a few blocks away, seeking aid. Fox San Antonio detailed how he was able to call police after arriving at the store located in the 1600 block of N Zarzamora Street near Culebra Road.
Responding to the emergency, San Antonio Police officers discovered the man suffering from a gunshot wound. "He was taken to the hospital in stable condition," the man brought to light his terrifying encounter, where he was treated for his injuries as detailed by KENS 5.
