
In a tragic outbreak of violence on a Los Angeles street, a shootout claimed the life of a man and left four others injured. Officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are investigating the incident, which took place on the 200 block of East El Segundo Boulevard in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles. According to a press release, the crime occurred on December 15, 2023, in the afternoon.
Upon the deputies' arrival from the Century Sheriff’s Station, a 32-year-old Black male was found with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Despite being transported to a local hospital, the victim did not survive. Representatives of the Sheriff's Information Bureau state that four other Black males, ages 40 to 50, were caught in the gunfire. While three are in stable condition, the fourth victim is critical but stable.
The shooter, described only as a male adult, approached on foot and opened fire before fleeing southbound on San Pedro Street. He remains at large, with authorities calling for public assistance to apprehend the suspect.
