A tragic blaze claimed the life of a man last night as firefighters battled flames in a Grand Prairie residence. The inferno erupted in the 3600 block of Park Ridge Drive, where responders arrived around 6:16 p.m. to find a single-story home engulfed, according to the City of Grand Prairie, Texas.
An adult male trapped inside was located by the fire brigade in a bedroom and quickly rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead shortly after that. The identity of the deceased is pending notification of next of kin, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Few details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the tragedy; however, an investigation into the fire's origin and cause is underway.
