
In an early morning burst of violence, a man was shot in the back at a North Side apartment complex, according to San Antonio police reports. Law enforcement responded to noise complaints at the 1100 block of Patricia Drive which quickly escalated into a shooting incident.
Authorities rushed to the scene around 2:00 a.m. Saturday after calls of loud music from an apparent party suddenly turned into a more serious situation. The officers were faced with the task of quickly ascertaining the series of events in the chaos that ensued. According to KSAT, what initially seemed like a typical disturbance took a dire turn as gunfire rang out within an apartment, leaving one man with a bullet in his back.
The wounded individual was found outside the apartment complex and swiftly transported to a local hospital. Despite the critical nature of such injuries, police stated that the man was in good condition upon his arrival at the medical facility. The details concerning the altercation remain sparse as the investigation continues.
During the commotion, several vehicles were observed trying hastily to leave the area, one of which crashed at the intersection of Patricia Drive and West Avenue. After a brief pursuit, officers managed to track down another vehicle involved, where they discovered the gunshot victim, as reported by KENS 5. No further injuries were reported, and three individuals are currently being questioned in connection with the shooting.
