Gunfire erupted on a Southwest Atlanta street yesterday afternoon when a verbal dispute turned violent, leaving one man wounded, authorities reported. The Atlanta Police Department confirmed an adult male was shot following a squabble with another individual at 374 Cleveland Ave. SW around 3:28 p.m.
Officers from Zone 3, responding to the shooting call, found the victim with a gunshot wound. Despite the chaos that enveloped him, the man remained alert and was in a condition that enabled him to be conscious and breathing at the scene. He was quickly transported to a local hospital by ambulance for further treatment, the Atlanta Police Department said.
