For this Saturday's Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, MARTA increased train service in downtown Atlanta. Starting at 9:30 a.m., shuttle trains will be at the ready, transporting fans from the Five Points Station to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, and GWCC Station, a move confirmed by WSB Radio.
According to the schedule announced by MARTA and reported by 11Alive, fans can catch a train every six minutes on the Red/Gold Line between Lindbergh Center Station and Airport Station. The Blue/Green Line with trains zipping through Ashby Station and King Memorial Station with the same six-minute frequency.
The frequency of trains will take a slight dip post-7 p.m. to a 10-minute interval, the after-game transport plan is expected to be a hit with the departing audience.
Martha says attending officers and MARTA Transit Ambassadors are on deck to assist, as noted by WSB Radio.
