Earlier today, chaos erupted on the Far West Side when bullets flew during a deadly confrontation outside a convenience store, leaving two men dead. The shootout occurred just before the witching hour at a Valero Corner Store located on Potranco Road near South Ellison Drive and Highway 151, where a dispute between two individuals escalated into gunfire, as per FOX San Antonio reported.
One man, 34, was hit in the eye and chest, and he lay dead at the scene. The other victim took bullets to the armpit and back and desperately looked for help inside the store, but despite being rushed to the hospital, he was announced dead, KSAT reported.
SAPD investigators focused on piecing together the events that led to the violent exchange, with surveillance footage from the Valero store slated for review. As the police worked to untangle the threads of this incident, they hinted at the possibility of a third victim. The presence of blood evidence at the scene led investigators to assume this, introducing another layer of complexity to an already unclear case. Detectives have not yet identified any witnesses nor unveiled a suspect, and the names of the deceased have been kept under wraps as the inquiry progresses.
