The Brentwood Police Department has successfully located a 15-year-old girl, Demari Powell, who had been reported missing since December 20. She was last seen at a bus stop en route to Heritage High School. However, she did not show up for classes that day. The police informed the public that Demari was found and is safe as of yesterday.
Demari, described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, around 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, had last been spotted in downtown Brentwood the day she went missing. Her attire included a black bandanna, white zip hoodie, pink spaghetti strap shirt, black and white bell bottoms, and fluffy pink flip flops, according to a Facebook post by the Brentwood Police Department.
The authorities appealed to the community, urging anyone with information about Demari's whereabouts to come forward and assist them in ensuring her safe return. They encouraged people to contact the Brentwood PD Dispatch or contact 9-1-1 in case of an emergency. It was also clear that callers could remain anonymous, should they choose to.
Thankfully, the search came to a heartening conclusion with the police department's update that Demari was located. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance and how she was found were not immediately made public.
