Early Saturday morning, deputies in Needles, California encountered a harrowing scene after responding to a domestic violence call in progress. Leon William Parker, aged 30 and a resident of Needles, was discovered hiding in a closet of a home on the 1900 block of Clary Drive as law enforcement arrived.
The victim, whose identity remains confidential, sustained a severe cut on her forehead and required medical treatment. Parker, facing multiple allegations including domestic violence, violating a restraining order, child abuse, burglary, and probation violation, was detained by the authorities, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported in a press release.
The incident which unfolded at around 8:00 a.m., also involved three children. The details of their condition or involvement have not been released to preserve their privacy. Parker is now in custody, apprehended on a slew of charges connected to domestic violence and more, as per the official press release.
