The department advises owners to adopt preventative measures to protect their cars – recommending the use of security systems, parking in well-lit areas, and ensuring that vehicles are properly locked with alarms active. The alert, which was published on December 23rd, detailed that these steps are essential in deterring the recent wave of criminal behavior. In a statement obtained by the official press release, the law enforcement emphasizes the importance of not confronting the perpetrators but instead, being “a good witness” by observing and then reporting a reliable description of any suspicious individuals.
Local authorities are seeking the community's cooperation in a bid to clamp down on the thefts.
