Two New Bedford men have been slammed with drug trafficking charges following a police raid. Narcotics detectives brought down what's alleged to be a local drug delivery service, operating from a residence that now stands revealed as a suspected narcotics hub. The bust occurred on December 20th, according to the New Bedford Police Department's Facebook page.

At roughly 5 PM that day, detectives executed a search warrant at 98 Grinnell St. Their haul was significant: over 29 grams of cocaine, 38 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, and packaging paraphernalia. To equally weigh the facts, it’s been reported that they also confiscated $12,676 in cold hard cash, believed to be proceeds from the illegal drug trade. As the operation was to swiftly place under arrest two men connected to the seized contraband.

Identified as the primary suspects were Mr. Larry Pina, 32, and Mr. Antionio Marques, 56. Mr. Pina, who resides at the Grinnell address, —with two open cases in New Bedford District Court pertaining to narcotics possession. Both men face severe allegations: trafficking more than 18 grams of cocaine, trafficking above 36 grams of fentanyl, and conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws.
