A New Braunfels man has been handed a half-century stretch behind bars after he pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual misconduct with a child, local authorities reported. Noah Noel Sanchez, 33, faced the mighty gavel of justice in the 406th District Court, where Judge Stephanie Bascon delivered the 50-year sentence, a hefty penalty reflective of the gravity of his confessed crimes.
According to MyCanyonLake, in a shocking and heinous discovery last year, it was a vigilant mother's discovery of illicit photos and videos on Sanchez’s cellphone that set the wheels of justice in motion; she stumbled upon the disturbing content that included images of her own young daughter. The mother’s quick thinking to capture these images and videos from Sanchez’s device with her own phone led to the involvement of the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, who then, following procedures, executed a search warrant dated October 29, 2022, and were horrified to find further evidence on Sanchez’s devices.
The odious content discovered by investigators ranged from images featuring toddlers to early teens, starkly illustrating a spectrum of child exploitation material; this included videos of Sanchez himself partaking in sexual acts with a child, as was detailed by the Comal County Criminal District Attorney's Office in a statement that was reported by Express-News.
Sanchez’s prior tangles with the law, which included prior felony drug and evidence tampering convictions from 2016, added weight to the charges brought against him, with criminal history acting as a multiplier for the current charges, which piled on misery for Sanchez as they were prosecuted as first-degree felonies, per Express-News.
