As the chilly winds of December breeze through the East Coast, Norwegian Cruise Line is promising to warmly embrace holiday travelers with a fresh maritime venture. The cruise line will usher in its newest ship, the Norwegian Viva, to the Port of Galveston in December 2025, extending through April 2026. This move to add yet another vessel to the Texan waters is poised to add a new rhythm to the holiday season's travel cadence.
The Norwegian Viva is set to offer seven-day roundtrip cruises to the coveted Western Caribbean, featuring ports such as Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; and Harvest Caye in Southern Belize. To truly sweeten the pot, January 2026 will witness the Norwegian Viva ambitiously undertake a 14-day voyage to the Eastern Caribbean, a grand tour slated to brush the shores of the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, Antigua, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and a return to Mexico's Cozumel. According to KSAT news, the Norwegian Viva will proudly become the third ship from the cruise line to call Galveston home.
But before Viva casts off, travelers still have the opportunity to delight in the escapades offered by Prima. Making its Texas debut this year, Prima is not slated to leave Galveston Harbor until March. Spots for solo voyagers are up for grabs on this vessel, which also promises seven-day or 14-day Caribbean dreams until it departs for the season. Following Prima's voyage path, the Escape is set to sail out of Galveston from December 2024 to March 2025.
For those looking to dauntlessly step into the world of cruise travel, Norwegian Prima threw open its doors in Galveston, marking the winter 2023 and 2024 seasons by exclusively offering seven-day voyages to the Western Caribbean. As reported by Visit Galveston, the pioneering vessel has laid claim to providing the most extensive port experiences in the region, with each itinerary visiting four ports and featuring extensive in-port hours to ensure travelers can deeply immerse themselves in these Caribbean sanctuaries.
Prospective travelers can now start plotting their 2026 getaways by reserving spots onboard the Norwegian Viva and Escape. Viva promises to turn the tides of traditional cruising with its anticipated itineraries, delivering passengers to the heart of the Caribbean's splendor. The landscapes of our neighboring latitudes beckon with azure waves and golden sands, and now, with Norwegian Cruise Line, a ticket to paradise is just a booking away.
