According to FOX San Antonio, San Antonio Fire Department Public Information Officer Joe Arrington confirmed that an adult male was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking down a dark section of Wurzbach Parkway around West Avenue.

"Arrington says the man was pronounced dead on the scene when officials arrived," FOX San Antonio reported. The aftermath of the accident prompted the closure of Wurzbach Parkway as police worked to clear the scene and piece together the events that led to the pedestrian's death.
