St. Thomas University's Parker Bjorklund dominated the court with a season-high 25 points, leading his team to a sweeping 85-66 win over Crown College on Sunday. Bjorklund showcased his shooting prowess by sinking 8 of 12 shots and nailing 9 of 10 free throws, solidifying his place as a top player for the Tommies this season, CBS News Minnesota reported.
Adding to the victory were Ryan Dufault's 18 points off the bench, complemented by four rebounds and four assists for the Tommies; Drake Dobbs also pitched in with 12 points and four assists to keep the scoreboard ticking over. BVM Sports reported that St. Thomas excelled with a shooting accuracy of 51.6% from the field, scoring 48 points in the paint, whereas Crown College was held to 40.7%, laying bare the Tommies' defensive grit as well as their offensive firepower.
On the other side, Jacob Van Dam led the charge for Crown College, scoring 19 points, with Cade Carroll adding a notable 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Micah Ladd's contribution of 10 points and five assists also stood out for the Storm, but it wasn't enough to compete with the Tommies' onslaught.
As the men of St. Thomas aim to carry this winning energy forward, they're gearing up to host the UW River-Falls Falcons at Schoenecker Arena on December 21. The team is riding high on confidence after a game that showcased their depth and capacity for success throughout the rest of their season's journey. With Bjorklund's commanding presence on the court and the collective team effort that's been engaging fans, Thursday's matchup is already burgeoning with anticipation for another potential Tommies' win.
