In a statement obtained by CBS Austin, medics confirmed the severity of the incident.
Local authorities are investigating the collision as drivers are advised to anticipate interruptions in their commute. The aftermath of the incident left the Austin area grappling with traffic congestion. Austin Fire Department and Lake Travis Fire were also on the scene, assisting the EMS. In response to the event, trying to avoid the location has been recommended due to the ongoing traffic issues.
