Plano's finest have stepped onto the national stage, as two detectives from the Plano Police Department joined forces with the Plano US Attorney's Office to tackle violent crime at a top-level summit in Indianapolis. The exclusive Violent Crime Reduction Summit, hosted by the US Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance, aimed to foster cross-agency dialogue and enhance strategies for community safety, according to the Plano Texas Police Department.
The pair from Texas participated alongside representatives from various criminal justice agencies, exploring sessions tailored for knowledge expansion and dialogue on strategic partnerships; their presence underscored Plano's commitment to proactive crime fighting and the collective pursuit of safer neighborhoods, despite the summit being an exclusive, invitation-only gathering that united justice agencies under one roof to brainstorm the combat against the relentless adversary that is violent crime.
The department expressed pride in their representatives, saying, "We're proud of our detectives for representing us and contributing to this important event.” The summit is part of the DOJ's ongoing initiatives to provide resources and guidance to law enforcement agencies across the nation in their efforts to reduce violent crime, per the Plano Texas Police Department
