
The Riverside County Sheriff's deputies conducted an operation to combat retail theft on December 19th in Eastvale, which led to the rounding up of six suspects, all now facing various charges. Information shared by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office details the efforts made in conjunction with area retailers to stop goods from being stolen from the city's stores.
Targets of the sting, which went down near the 6100 block of Hamner Avenue, ranged in age from 27 to 58 and hailed from various Riverside County locales. Among the accused are David Frotson of Moreno Valley, Maria Alarcon Zabala of Eastvale, and Zachary Garcia from Fontana. The operation saw these individuals, alongside Steven Kakul of Riverside, Julio Hernandez of Eastvale, and Ruben Zamora Velazquez, a Jurupa Valley local, all arrested. Their stolen goods have since been recovered and the suspects booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
The Sheriff’s Department states that this enforcement action is a part of "Community Policing," an initiative to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the public to effectively tackle crime.
