Local cinemas are decking their halls with holiday movie festivities. Movie buffs in San Antonio can head on over to the Alamo Drafthouse at Park North and Stone Oak for an "interactive experience". Movie Parties that promise not just films like "Elf," "Polar Express," and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," but also games, props, and a special holiday menu, according to KSAT.

Cinemark has decided to generously play Santa by launching its first-ever Holiday Movie Clubhouse program. As reported by KSAT, for the price of a gingerbread latte—just $4 a ticket—you get to watch holiday favorites like "Arthur Christmas" on select dates, and if you’re bringing your little elves along, they get a $1 discount on kid's snack packs. Regal pulls out the big guns with $5 ticket deals for classic holiday movies each weekend.

A throwback to the '70s and a homage to one of its most dulcet voices, San Antonio Theater highlights an exclusive John Denver tribute concert. Rick Schuler, heralded for his uncanny Denver-esque pipes, will serenade audiences with hits straight out of Denver’s holiday albums and TV specials, including classics like 'Aspenglow' and 'Away In A Manger'.
