A late-night scuffle at a San Antonio apartment complex has left one man with a knife wound, and police are on the hunt for the assailant. According to FOX San Antonio, officers from the San Antonio Police Department were dispatched to the Westwood Plaza Apartments following reports of a fight at around 9:30 p.m. yesterday. The altercation, which escalated when one man drew a knife and cut the other above the eyebrow, ended with the aggressor fleeing on foot, police say.
The victim, whose injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, was promptly taken to the nearest hospital, authorities said. The suspect, however, remains at large, with no clear description available to the public, as per the last reports. The public is encouraged to come forward with any information by calling the police at 210-224-7867.
As the investigation continues, police are working hard to establish a firm description of the suspect. Initially, witness accounts led to an inaccurate suspect profile, but officials are hopeful that further details from the victim, who is still in the hospital, will shed new light on the fleeing individual, KENS 5 reports. The cutting incident stays under active police investigation.
