The San Antonio Spurs are launching a Fan Fest Watch Party set for this Saturday at Frost Plaza. The event will coincide with the team's face-off against the Dallas Mavericks. The gathering spot, Frost Plaza, is nestled at The Rock at La Cantera, a new dimension in fan engagement, according to KSAT.

Starting at 6 p.m. with the game tipping off at 7:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy the game on a 40-foot outdoor screen. Fans are invited to make themselves comfortable by bringing their lawn chairs and blankets. Attendees can munch on food and drinks available for purchase from on-site kiosks. The event will not be short of entertainment, with various fan fest activities planned including letters to Santa station, holiday coloring books, photo ops complete with a ring light photo booth, and artists ready to dazzle with face painting, balloons, and caricatures. This is just the first of four fan fest watch parties the Spurs have announced this season, according to KSAT.

Future fan fest dates are already marked on calendars with the next being January 20 against the Washington Wizards, followed by a February 23 matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers, and another on March 9 when they go head-to-head with the Golden State Warriors. As anticipation builds, details for each event will be released closer to the respective game days, and fans can keep a pulse on updates by visiting the Official Spurs Fan Club’s website or through the Official Spurs App.

Manu Ginobili, who said, “It’s fantastic,” during the official opening, "Many times, the only place to be close to the Spurs is at the games, and this will make another space in which you can be close and celebrate, and the community can gather to watch a game," as he told KSAT. The plaza boasts a splash pad, and will soon include the Roca & Martillo restaurant, set to open in the spring, further rounding out the space as a hub for both sport and social happenings.
