
The search is intensifying for a San Antonio teen who vanished more than a week ago. Jaccqueanna “Yanna” Manning, 14, was last seen Dec. 19 on a road bordering Interstate 10, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds, the young girl with shoulder-length, curly, black and burgundy hair braided at the time of her disappearance remains the subject of an urgent plea for community assistance.
Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could help to swiftly locate Jaccqueanna. According to KSAT, the search efforts have continued across the San Antonio area, but with scant leads surfacing. The teenager's description includes brown eyes and a height and weight proportionate for her age, leaving police and family members anxious to safely recover her.
San Antonio Police stress the legal consequences of abetting runaways, citing Texas law which dictates harboring a runaway child is considered a Class A misdemeanor. Fines for such an offense can reach up to $4,000, not to mention potential jail time of up to a year.
