
A San Bruno woman found herself in cuffs after she reportedly plowed into a parked car while under the influence. 65-year-old Cheryl Briggs was arrested on December 3 following the collision on Linda Mar Boulevard, according to Pacifica Police Department.
Officers responding to the 7:21 PM incident encountered Briggs, who admitted her involvement in the mishap. She displayed signs of intoxication, and after a field investigation, it was determined that she had been drinking and was incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle.
The former driver now faces charges under California's DUI statutes, specifically 23152(a) CVC and 23152(b) CVC. After being slapped with a criminal citation, Briggs was booked into a sobriety center to dry out.
The Pacifica Police are urging the public to play a role in keeping the streets hazard-free by reporting any suspected impaired drivers through 9-1-1.
