In response to the emergency, essential roads were closed off, causing a temporary snarl in the area's traffic. Camden Ave. Eastbound remains inaccessible for now, and the SJFD advises motorists to reroute via Redmond Ave. or Trinidad Dr. for access to the Almaden Expressway. The firefighting personnel worked diligently to quell the flames and restore order, and their progress was shared online to keep the community informed.
Businesses and residents of the 6400 block of Camden Av. found themselves at a standstill as the fire department took the lead on the scene. A reminder was issued by the SJFD on social media, urging locals to exercise caution around the active personnel and their equipment.
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, the effective and swift response from fire crews prevented any harm to firefighters or civilians. The SJPD_PIO and PGE4Me were also tagged in the fire department's updates, suggesting collaboration amongst city services during emergencies. Updates on the situation, detours, and road reopenings continue to be provided by the San José Fire Department as the area begins its incremental return to normalcy.
