Early morning flames engulfed a Santa Ana business on the 1700 block of S. Main Street, sparking a sizable response from local fire crews. Reports of the blaze came in just before 8:00 AM, prompting firefighters to rush to the scene, where they were met with heavy smoke billowing from the premises.
With the situation quickly escalating, Engine 74 called to hastily request a second alarm, a move that drew additional firefighting personnel and equipment to the scene. According to a post on the Orange County Fire Authority's (OCFA) Facebook page, "Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the building on their arrival." The post also stated that "firefighters kept the fire to the building of origin and prevented it from extending to two adjacent businesses."
