In the early hours of Christmas Day, the elite forces in Worcester had to intervene and disperse a lively gathering on two occasions, resulting in an arrest that apprehended an individual in possession of a loaded firearm. According to a police report, at about 12:15 AM, Worcester Police were called to a loud party on County St where revelers were seemingly giving Saint Nick a run for his money with their hollers and festive defiance. The cops advised the partiers to lower the volume but were summoned again around 3:40 AM for the same noise disturbance.
Upon their second arrival, cops found the loud music and yelling unabated. Their knocks on the door instigated a mass exodus of over fifty party-goers, among them was Kerbily Ducasse, 33, who was spotted with an open bottle of booze and a refusal to drop it. Despite the officers' warning that leaving with the bottle would lead to his arrest, Ducasse stepped out defiantly clutching his illicit refreshment, prompting the officers to act.
Following Ducasse's arrest for the open container violation, a search turned up a more serious offense. Underneath the facade of a partygoer lay a loaded handgun, its serial number obliterated, a blatant disregard for Massachusetts gun laws. Worcester Police confirmed that Ducasse was not licensed to carry a firearm in the state. Ducasse now faces multiple charges: Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Removal of Serial Number from Firearms, Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol, and Disturbing the Peace.
