
In a heartwarming display of gratitude and community spirit, the Sewa Diwali Team, a Hindu Dharmic community initiative, showed their appreciation for local law enforcement by donating 250 pounds of food to the Plano Police Department. This gesture came as a token of thanks for the department's involvement in a recent food distribution event conducted in partnership with the North Texas Food Bank.
Last Saturday, under the leadership of Chief Ed Drain, stepped up as a key participant in the event hosted by the Sewa Diwali Team. The community has collectively amassed over 71,300 pounds of food over the past several weeks, contributing to an ongoing effort that spans multiple organizations and scores of volunteers, according to the Plano Texas Police Department.
