Anna Bowles experienced the deceit firsthand when a so-called delivery driver made off with her packages on Wednesday morning. Bowles relayed her story stating that the perpetrator was clad in an "Amazon jacket" when they swiped items including wrapping paper and Christmas gifts intended for her children, according to CBS News Minnesota.
These incidences are alarming, especially during the holiday rush when porches across the nation are ripe with delivery parcels. The St. Louis Park Police have noted a recent uptick in similar reports that a similar incident occurred shortly after Bowles' encounter, as per CBS News Minnesota.
Bowles, a mother of a 3-week-old newborn and toddler, was home when the theft happened. The thief not only targeted her household but did so under the guise of delivering service. "It's extremely unnerving," she expressed, emphasizing the distress of having such an incident unfold on her doorstep, as stated in KARE 11.
