Houston's been sunny, but that's all about to change. As reported by the Houston Chronicle, meteorological shifts are steering the weather towards cooler, storm-filled days ahead starting this Thursday, with gutsy winds and the chance of severe thunderstorms by Saturday.
Thursday will hit you with a chilly start in the mid-40s. Though the day's highs are looking to reach the lower 70s under mostly sunny skies, clouds could be creeping in later, hinting that rain is on the horizon and coming Friday, particularly in the south of Interstate 10, where rain chances spike, according to Click2Houston.
On Friday, breezy conditions tip up to a gusty 25 mph, but on Saturday, forecasters are eyeballing three long-range models, suggesting the cold front's grand entrance in the PM could whip up some seriously strong storms, especially north of I-10 and east of I-45.
After the storm, temperatures are going to nosedive after Saturday's front passes through, so by Sunday, there will be a drastic drop-off with early morning lows possibly in the frosty realms north of I-10.
