
An 18-year-old was ambushed in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday on the northeast side of San Antonio. The teenager was hospitalized after being hit in the arm while reportedly trying to cross the street. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Chestnut View and Judson Road, as per FOX San Antonio News.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, told police that he was crossing the street when a vehicle approached and shots rang out, KENS 5 reported. After being hit in the left arm, he was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Although the young man is expected to recover, the assailant or assailants remain at large, with police having no description of a possible suspect at this time.
Investigators are searching the area for clues and are looking into reports of a stolen vehicle found near the scene of the crime. According to FOX San Antonio that it's unclear if the vehicle is connected to the shooting. The motive behind the violent act remains unclear as detectives piece together the circumstances.
