
A teenager has been left fighting for their life following a harrowing vehicle-pedestrian collision in Northeast Austin, officials said.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday on Farmhaven Road, where emergency responders found the victim unconscious after being struck by a vehicle. According to Austin Travis County EMS, the unnamed patient was subsequently declared a trauma alert. The Austin Fire Department was also present, offering support at the scene.

The victim was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with what were described as critical, life-threatening injuries. Despite the best efforts of the medical teams, no further updates on the patient's condition have been released, after CBS Austin reported. EMS has since cleared the scene, and investigators are likely continuing to piece together the events that led up to this unfortunate incident.
Per standard procedure, the area where the collision occurred would have been examined for any evidence, including skid marks, traffic signals, and potential video footage that could shed light on the causality of the incident.
