A shocking turn of events unfolded in Del Valle, Texas, where a vehicle rollover into a tree resulted in the hospitalization of two individuals. The accident happened in the 16000 block of Fagerquist Road, near Linden Road, late Sunday afternoon, according to Yahoo News.

The Austin-Travis County EMS reported the harrowing scene after 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, where one victim, amidst the twisted metal, found themselves trapped and needed to be freed from the wreckage. In the chaos that followed, both individuals declared trauma alerts, with an initial update revealing the ongoing extrication efforts for the pinned patient while the other had been pulled out to safety. The emergency responders, having heard the cries of the injured, were rushing to unpin the individual caught inside. In a post, it was stated that the treatment of the victims was underway, emphasizing the severity of the circumstances reported by ATCEMS.
Soon after, the situation escalated as STARFlight helicopters were called to the scene, one already dealing with another incident along SH 130. The wings of these angels of mercy hummed overhead, one landing close by to ferry the most severely injured to a haven of medical expertise. The transport by STARFlight suggested the dire nature of at least one of the victims' injuries, which were feared to be potentially life-threatening.
The final update from the scene painted a bleak picture of the aftermath. With the extrication operation having come to a close and the victims receiving ongoing care, the authorities confirmed the two patients had been hospital-bound, carefully monitored by the medics who were preserving life against the odds; one was taken by ambulance to St. David's South with serious but potentially manageable wounds, and the second victim's condition was grave enough to warrant aeromedical evacuation, as per ATCEMS.
