Chaos erupted at Topgolf in North Austin after a security officer was critically injured in a shooting incident, causing alarm amongst patrons and staff alike.
The harrowing event took place overnight on Saturday, when two security officers were ambushed while on parking lot duty. The attack happened shortly after the officers had removed a disorderly individual from a corporate event hosted at the venue, as reported by CBS Austin.
A junior officer was struck in the face, and simultaneously, the same individual slapped the radio out of the supervising officer's hand while he was calling for backup. The officer who was transported is presently in a serious but stable condition.
According to Teague, the suspects are currently at large, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to CBS Austin.
