This Wednesday, it's been exactly two years since the disappearance of three-year-old Lina Sardar Khil, whose case has yet to be solved. Last seen playing at the Villa Del Cabo Apartments on Fredericksburg Rd, now known as "The Vive Apartments," At the time of her disappearance, she was captured on surveillance video playing in a red outfit and coat before walking out of frame, never to be seen again, reported KENS 5.
A somber observance in honor of Lina will be held later Wednesday morning, according to KENS 5. The SAPD is still actively investigating the missing persons case as the family and the Afghan community, accompanied by Eagles flight, will gather at the American Muslim Community Center at 11 a.m. In February of this year, an updated sketch of what Lina may look like at five years old was released during an event to commemorate her birthday, with her family still holding on to hope for her safe return.
Despite the lack of substantial progress, Lina's father remains resolute in his belief that his daughter is still alive. Through a translator, he expressed his hope that the new sketch would encourage more tips from the public, FOX San Antonio detailed. Crime Stoppers and the Islamic Center of San Antonio are offering a reward for information that may lead to finding Lina.
The San Antonio Police Department has encouraged anyone with details about Lina's disappearance or current whereabouts to come forward.
