A tragic turn of events unfolded late Wednesday night when a food delivery driver was killed in a crash on the Loop 410 access road in San Antonio, as KSAT reported. According to authorities, the accident occurred just shy of 10 p.m. near Jones Maltsberger on the city's North Side.
Involved were a couple in their 20s making deliveries for Uber Eats when, police say, they exited the highway and lost control of their vehicle. During the failed attempt to regain command, their car collided with the highway barrier and struck another vehicle, as per San Antonio police. The aftermath of the crash saw the vehicle careening through a gated parking lot, halting just short of a building. The San Antonio Police Department is still investigating the cause of the crash.
