Today, the police department is touting a victory in its investigative saga with the arrest of four individuals linked to the violence. The Vacaville Police Department announced a significant breakthrough following a shooting two months ago that left a man injured.
Officers responded to the fateful call on that October morning and found a 37-year-old man in the throes of survival, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Since then, individuals within the Vacaville Police Department and collaborating law enforcement agencies have toiled, dissecting clues and following leads, to stitch together the narrative of that day. The investigation yielded fruit with the arrest of Dallas Deleon, 32, of Vallejo, and Davina Espinoza, 22, alongside two male juveniles, ages 15 and 14, who the police have not named due to their age.
The quartet faces charges ranging from conspiracy to commit murder to child endangerment, according to a statement released by the Vacaville Police Department. Deleon, who has a prior record, has an additional charge for parole violation. The arrests unfolded after a tactical deployment of search warrants across Vallejo and Vacaville, during which law enforcement discovered three firearms among other potential evidentiary items.
Cooperation between agencies has been paramount in this case, with a nod to the Vallejo Police Department and the Solano County Sheriff's Office in today's announcement.
