
A tragic vehicular accident claimed the life of a 25-year-old Vermont man during the Christmas holidays, following a single-car rollover in Bridport, state police reported.
Tyler Brouillard was driving his Dodge Dart along Lake Street when he veered off the road onto the shoulder, subsequently over-corrected, and then crossed over, resulting in his departure from the west side of Lake Street where his vehicle began to roll, according to a statement by the Vermont State Police and as reported by CBS6 Albany.
The Bridport resident was ejected from his car and sustained injuries that proved fatal, authorities said; he was found not to have been wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Based on preliminary investigations detailed by NBC Boston, the road conditions were wet with light rain, though the full cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Lake Street saw closures to facilitate the work of the crash reconstruction team and drone team which scanned the scene, this mishap occurred between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to police the exact time of the incident has not been pinpointed.
