Panic ensued at a San Antonio Motel 6 when a late-night dispute devolved into violence, resulting in a woman being pistol-whipped and gunshots fired, authorities confirmed. The chaos erupted around 1:45 a.m. near the 3370 block of IH-35, the Northside area, with San Antonio Police Department responding to the volatile scene, as reported by FOX San Antonio.
Initial findings suggest the suspect engaged in an altercation with another male, who after seeing the firearm the suspect brandished decided the better part of valor was discretion and quickly exited the premises, led to the attacker turning his aggression towards a bystander. In the frenzy that followed, the female victim was struck by the assailant with the weapon, the suspect then hopped into a vehicle and discharged multiple rounds towards a group of people gathered outside this establishment, according to the same source.
While bullets flew, striking fear into bystanders, miraculously, no one sustained injuries from the gunfire; however, the victim of the pistol-whipping only received minor harm. On the Northeast Side, EMS personnel rendered aid at the scene, opting not to transport the woman to hospital facilities, per a KSAT report.
