A tragedy has struck the quiet town of Waterville, Maine where a woman was brutally killed at a local liquor store. Authorities have identified the victim as 52-year-old Angela Bragg, and her death has been ruled a homicide resulting from sharp-force injury, as reported by NBC Boston.
Damon's Beverage, where Bragg was employed, became a crime scene when her body was discovered early Thursday by another employee. Police are now actively to search for 20-year-old colleague Spirdal Hubiak, also known as "Spiral," in connection to the killing. An arrest warrant for murder has been issued against Hubiak, who is believed to have fled the state, per Central Maine coverage.
The suspect, Hubiak, was last seen driving a black 2010 Ford Taurus with Maine license plate 4666ZR. While the initial report from authorities suggested the suspect might be armed, there has been no recent confirmation on whether Hubiak is currently considered armed.
As the community reels from the shock, the store announced on Facebook it would temporarily close "Due to an emergency."
