
A tragic set of events unfolded in northwest Bexar County after a woman was critically injured in a stabbing incident that saw her son detained as the suspect, and a deputy en route to the crime scene involved in a multi-vehicle collision.
According to FOX San Antonio, the stabbing occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday at the 11000 block of Talon Run, where a 33-year-old female was found with multiple stab wounds. Officials reported that the woman was stabbed 30 times by her 13-year-old son, and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The juvenile was detained, marking the onset of, what is now an ongoing investigation.
Compounding the night's events, a Bexar County Sheriff's deputy, rushing to respond to the stabbing, was involved in a severe crash, involving multiple vehicles. KSAT reports that the crash took place on Wiseman and Cottonwood Way, which involved eight individuals, and left three, including an adult, a child with serious injuries, and the vehicle driver, needing hospitalization. The deputy involved in the crash was not injured.
Details on the weapon used in the stabbing have not been made clear. Meanwhile, the child and an adult victim of the crash, their conditions have not been released, although they were initially described as 'serious'. The authorities have not yet commented on what might have led to the stabbing, and the investigation continues to unfold.
