
A woman was fatally shot early Saturday morning in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles, prompting a homicide investigation by local authorities.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a call at approximately 5:55 a.m., after the incident was reported near the junction of West 120th Street and Raymond Avenue the victim whose identity has yet to be disclosed was declared dead at the scene.
The perpetrator of the deadly shooting remains unidentified and at large, while a motive for the crime has not been established, as investigators from the Homicide Bureau led by Lieutenant Daniel Vizcarra are scouring the area for evidence and calling on public cooperation.
