An 18-year-old has been charged with capital murder in the wake of a grim discovery in West Dallas—two individuals found dead inside a Lexus, the Dallas Police Department announced. The arrest followed a shooting earlier this week on Bickers Street. The police reported that the suspect allegedly involved in the double homicide was one Ethyn Leang, now held on a $1,000,000 bond in Dallas County Jail, as per FOX 4 News.

Arriving in response to a call around 7:35 p.m., officers found two male victims with fatal gunshot wounds inside a car parked near Kingsbridge Park. The investigation suggested that the victims were meeting with the suspect when they were shot. After the shooting, Leang reportedly was dropped off at Children's Hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, injuries consistent with the description of the shooter caught on apartment surveillance video, according to WFAA. Compounding an already tragic situation, the car in which the victims were found was visibly damaged, its windshield shattered.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office identified one of the victims as 20-year-old Jon Allen. Information regarding the circumstances leading up to the fatal meeting and shooting has not been fully disclosed at this time. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.

Authorities across Dallas remain tight-lipped about the nuances of the case, maintaining a focus on piecing together the events of that fateful night. While names of the victims and further details remain pending. Meanwhile, those with knowledge of the case are requested to contact police detective Frank Serra.
