A young man's life was cut short in Kyle, Texas earlier this week, leading to the arrest of 21-year-old Steven Rodriguez. As reported by FOX San Antonio, Hays County Sheriff's Department received a call around 3 a.m. to a residence on the 300 block of Country Lane where they discovered the victim with a gunshot wound. Despite deputies' efforts to quickly administer first aid and subsequent transportation to the hospital by emergency services, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation, still actively unfolding, pinpointed Rodriguez as the shooter. Rodriguez is now facing charges including Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury/Family Violence. As reported by CBS Austin, this initial charge is compounded by a Violation of Bond Conditions, a class A misdemeanor. No bond has been set for Rodriguez as he remains in custody, and additional charges are being considered as the investigation continues to quickly develop.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, keeping the focus on gathering more evidence and details surrounding the events that led to this fatal shooting.
