A tense scene unfolded Sunday morning in Adelanto, California, when deputies rushed to a residence following a desperate 911 call. Deputies arrived at the 15100 block of Alexandria Street at 8:48 am to discover that a man had allegedly trapped a woman and her children inside their home.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, suspect Rodney Green, 42, is accused of locking the victim's fence to prevent her from leaving with her children, instilling a palpable fear of his possible return. After the victim's call for help, deputies tracked down Green as he made his way back to the property, he was then taken into custody.
During the encounter, law enforcement officials discovered a firearm and ammunition in Green's vehicle, leading to his arrest on charges of false imprisonment and being a felon in possession of both a firearm and ammunition. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department confirmed that Green was booked at the High Desert Detention Center with the investigation still in its active phase.
