A 52-year-old suspect was nabbed in what law enforcement described as a multi-jurisdictional bank robbery series that put two communities on edge.

On December 6, authorities allege that Aresh Narmaki, equipped with weaponry, struck a bank on Schleisman Road, Eastvale, sending shockwaves through the quiet locale. It was only the beginning of a string of daring daylight heists, with a similar incident unfolding on January 4 in Chino Hills, according to investigators.

Linking the two crimes together, detectives from the Riverside Sheriff’s and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Departments coordinated in what became a shared quest to bring the robbery run to a halt. Their collaborative effort led to Narmaki's arrest at his Chino Hills home, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

Caught off guard at his residence, Narmaki was taken into custody without incident by the SBCSD Specialized Enforcement Division. Searching the home on Blossom Lane, cops say they unearthed incriminating evidence tying Narmaki to both bank jobs. He was subsequently booked into the West Valley Detention Center for armed robbery, and there's an additional charge being filed by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

"Community Policing” remains a focal point of law enforcement strategy, urging business owners and residents to report any criminal doings directly to law enforcement, the departments encourage in a statement. Emergencies call for 911 while non-urgent tips can flow through Sheriff's Dispatch or the We-Tip Crime Reporting Hotline.

Anyone wielding information about these robberies or any other tips has been asked to contact Investigator Medina or Investigator Renear through their respective dispatch numbers provided by the department.
