An Arlington neighborhood is grappling with shock and sorrow after a 51-year-old man was beaten to death by assailants in an apartment complex parking lot. Frank Kwasnica III, reported to have been merely fulfilling a friend's simple request for a ride home from work, was discovered unresponsive at the Waterdance Apartments on Blue Water Drive in the early hours of Friday, Jan. 19. He suffered serious blunt force trauma to the head and, despite being rushed to hospital, he later succumbed to his injuries, FOX 4 News reported.
Arlington Police are actively searching for the group responsible for the heinous act. According to witness accounts, a confrontation erupted when two vehicles pulled up beside Kwasnica in the parking lot, from which three individuals emerged, and following a heated altercation, chased him down. They were seen striking him with two large objects, however, the exact cause of the dispute remains unknown. As the investigation continues, a motive for the attack has not been established, and no detail about the potential connection between Kwasnica and his attackers is available. So far, no arrests have been made as police grapple with a scarcity of descriptions concerning both the suspects and their vehicles, as per NBC DFW.
In the wake of the incident, a void has been left in the Grand Prairie community where Kwasnica resided. A neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous due to safety concerns, lamented the loss of a man described as being "friends with everybody." Kwasnica's family is devastated by the tragedy, expressing their pain and the profound sense of injustice felt over the untimely death of a beloved father. "My daddy Frank was one of a kind. The best daddy anybody could ever ask for… He didn't deserve this... We loved him dearly," Kwasnica's daughter conveyed, as per FOX 4 News.
