
The Atlanta community is on alert as police are searching for Michele Fitzgerald, a 70-year-old woman with brain cancer and dementia who went missing in the Buckhead area. Fitzgerald was reported missing by her sister after last being seen on the evening of Jan. 17 between 8:45 and 9 p.m. near West Paces Ferry Road NW, as per FOX 5 Atlanta.
Fitzgerald, who takes seizure medication, has been described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Seen wearing black shoes with fur, a beige button-down, and brown slacks, she is known to reside at Heartis Buckhead, a senior living community at 2051 Peachtree Road NE. The Atlanta Police Department's appeal has been widely circulating, urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
According to the Atlanta Police Department's Missing Persons Unit, Fitzgerald requires medication for seizures, adding a layer of urgency to the search efforts and the need for public assistance.
