The heat is on for a suspect after a violent incident that left an Austin GameStop employee injured during a robbery gone violent, and local authorities are turning to the public for any leads that could close the case. According to an official press release from the Austin Police Department, the robbery occurred on December 4, 2023, when a man tried to lift merchandise from the retailer on S IH 35 and lashed out physically when confronted, sending the clerk to deal with not just the aftermath but real physical harm.
The suspect, still at large, is a white male, estimated to be anywhere from 20 to 30 years old, 5'8" in stature, and around 150 pounds in weight. He made his exit from the scene clad in a light blue, short-sleeve collared shirt and a bandana crowning his head amidst the chaos, and the cops disseminated his description and snapshots to aid concerned citizens in recognizing this apparent rogue.
