According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the incident happened at approximately 5:58 a.m., when officers rushed to the scene. Detailing the crash between an SUV and a pedestrian, the initial reports confirm the victim died at the scene, while the driver, who remained there to cooperate with the law enforcement officials, showed no signs of intoxication.
